| 08.07.06 (11:42 pm) [edit] |
Chandigarh, August 7 :- The Task Force is proving to be a very practical and successful mechanism of reporting, and, removal of encroachments on day-to-day basis. For timely detection, and, removal of encroachments on government lands, the U.T. Administration had constituted a Task Force. The Task Force consisted of Assistant Engineers/Junior Engineers/Sub Inspectors Enforcement belonging to Estate Office, Engineering Department and Municipal Corporation. Each official was assigned a particular area for ensuring that any unauthorized construction/encroachment is detected at the time of its occurrence, and, to be removed immediately. Each field official has been made accountable for any encroachment on government land under his jurisdiction. All the three SDMs have been made Incharge of the Task Force of their respective areas. The SDMs ensure that encroachments detected are reported on day-to-day basis, and, removed immediately, in coordination with the police officials of Sub-division concerned.
